About Us - Meet your Tofino Fishing Experts

When you book a Tofino fishing trip with Chinook Charters you will be fishing aboard the custom designed thirty foot vessel M.V. Hook'em with local skipper Mike Hansen.  Mike was born and raised in Tofino, on the west coast of Vancouver Island BC, and has been fishing the waters around Tofino and Clayoquot Sound for over 20 years.   

Mike's skills as a Tofino fishing charter guide are made obvious by the many customers we have who return to fish for salmon and halibut with Chinook Charters year after year.  We especially enjoy the opportunity to introduce fishing to those with little or no experience.  Mike has a knack for helping new anglers to feel comfortable and confident on the waters and with the fishing gear very quickly.  By mixing up a day of fishing with wildlife spotting and a scenic tour of Clayoquot Sound we can offer a versatile tour to please the whole family.   See our Tofino fishing packages for more information.
